Iran animation ‘Ascribed Achievements’ to vie at 2 int’l filmfests

Iranian animation ‘Ascribed Achievements’ is to be screened at two International film festivals in Slovakia and US.

Directed by Samaneh Shojaei, the animation will vie at Fest Anča International Animation Festival in Slovakia and Florida Film Festival in the US.

The animation, which is a new experience with grotesque narration and real images, tells the story of an old boy, who is dissatisfied with his inborn appearance and decides to end his life. But his failed suicide leads to a new situation in his life.

Florida Film Festival is an Oscar-qualifying festival, premiering the best in current, independent, and international cinema.

Fest Anča International Animation Festival is the only Slovak multimedia festival focused on animated film mainly for adult audience.

Its aim is to raise awareness about animated film as an autonomous art form and to educate about its multiple types and aspects.
